FaridiaTech is a free collection of online calculators at faridiatech.com. This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, and what you can do about the cookies this site sets. It applies to every page on faridiatech.com and should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Your calculator inputs never leave your device

Every calculator on this site runs in your browser using JavaScript. The measurements, prices, wages and bill amounts you type are never sent to us, never written to our database and never stored after you close the tab. There is no account to create, so there is no profile of you on our end at all.

What we do collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply. These are emailed to us and are never used for marketing.
  • Comments: if you comment on a blog post, WordPress stores your name, email address, comment text, IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Theme preference: your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools people use, in aggregate. We also show advertising supplied by Google AdSense — the ads fund the site and keep every calculator free.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

Google uses the data it collects when you visit this site — through Google Analytics and Google AdSense — to run, maintain and improve its services, and to choose the ads you see. To read Google’s own explanation of how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services, see Google’s partner-sites policy.

When the cookie banner appears, the choice you make is saved in your browser as a cookie called ft_consent2. It records nothing but whether you accepted or declined, and it expires after 1 year. The Google AdSense script loads on every page (Google requires this to review the site for its advertising program), but no ad units are displayed until you accept; our Google Analytics script loads only after you accept. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the site footer.

  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices (USA), youradchoices.ca (Canada), or through your browser and device advertising settings.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The calculators will still work.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, the EEA or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to ask that it not be sold — we do not sell personal information. Write to us through the contact page and we will act on your request.

How long we keep things

Contact messages are kept for as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised, unless you ask us to remove them. The ft_consent2 cookie expires 1 year after your choice.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

This page reflects our current practices. If they change, we will update this page and the date at the top with it. Questions about privacy? Contact us.
