Estimates, not advice
Our calculators produce estimates for planning. They are not financial, tax, legal, medical, construction or engineering advice, and using them does not create a professional relationship with us. A mortgage figure cannot tell you whether you can afford a house, a BMI result is not a medical diagnosis, and a materials estimate is not a contractor’s quote. For any decision involving money, health or safety, speak to a qualified professional in your own country.
Accuracy
We build each tool from the standard formula for its job and publish that formula with a worked example on every tool page, so you can check the maths yourself. Even so, we cannot guarantee that any result is accurate, complete or right for your particular situation. Prices move, tax rates change, local rules differ from national ones, and no formula knows the quirks of your site or project. You are responsible for checking any figure before you rely on it — with a supplier, a contractor or a qualified professional.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its results. That includes wasted materials, over-ordering or under-ordering, missed deadlines, or a financial decision made on the basis of a calculator output.
